Convenient and quick breakfast option and well balanced in macro nutrients. High on fibre and thus useful in PCOS.


  1. Vermicilli- 30g
  2. Egg -1 no
  3. Tomato (Puree) -50g
  4. Onion -20g
  5. Capsicum- 20g
  6. Coriander (Chopped)- 1 TBSP
  7. Curry leaves- 4 to 5 no
  8. Mustard seeds -1/2 TSP
  9. Jeera -1/2 TSP
  10. Urad dal -5g (1 TSP)
  11. Green chilli- 1/3 (Optional)
  12. Turmeric powder- 1/4 TSP
  13. Salt -To taste
  14. Veg oil- 1 TSP

Method of preparation

  1. Finely chop all the vegetables and keep aside.
  2. Dry roast wheat vermicelli and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in the pan. Add mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves, green chilli, urad
  4. Add chopped onion and sauté till golden brown. Now, add the tomato puree and cook for a minute.
  5. Add chopped capsicum and sauté. Add salt, turmeric powder and wheat vermicelli.
  6. Add half a cup of water and cook till the vermicelli becomes soft.
  7. Beat an egg and add it into the dish, cook for a minute.
  8. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
