Lemon Garlic fish with couscous

Cous-cous is high in complex carbohydrate and is released slowly in the blood which is useful in PCOS for maintaining weight.


  1. Fish -100g
  2. Couscous- 40g
  3. Mint -15g
  4. Lemon-. 1 no.
  5. Garlic (Minced)- 1/2 TSP
  6. Flaxseeds (Crushed) -1/2 TSP
  7. Peanuts (Crushed)- 1/2 TSP
  8. Green Chilli -1/2 (Optional)
  9. Black Pepper- 1/4 TSP
  10. Turmeric pd- 1/4 TSP
  11. Salt -To taste
  12. Olive oil- 1 TSP

Method of preparation

  1. Clean and wash the fish thoroughly. Marinate with garlic, lemon, Blackpepper ,Salt and Olive oil.
  2. Clean and soak Cous-Cous for about an hour.
  3. Pressure cook Cous-Cous giving 2 whistles, cool and store in the refrigerator.
  4. Prepare Mint chutney using Mint, Green chilli and salt.
  5. Once the Cous-cous is cold mix in the mint chutney and top it with crushed flaxseeds and peanuts.
  6. Heat a saucepan and add ½ tsp Olive oil. Pan fry the marinated fish till crisp on both sides.
  7. Serve hot fish with Cous-cous.
