  1. Oats is rich in a soluble fibre called B-Glucan, this is useful to cut down body fat and cholesterol
  2. Chana Dal is added to enhance the protein content by giving a cereal pulse combination.


  1. Rolled Oats- 15g
  2. Roasted Chana Dal -10g
  3. Mustard seeds- 1/4 TSP
  4. Turmeric Powder- 1/4 TSP
  5. Jeera- 1/2 TSP
  6. Sauf-1/2 Tsp
  7. Curry leaves- 3 to 4 no’s
  8. Green Chilli- 1/3 (Optional)
  9. Salt (To Taste)
  10. Oil- ½ Tsp

Method of preparation

  1. Dry roast the oats in a pan till its crisp on a medium flame
  2. Also dry roast the chana dal till its golden brown
  3. Heat oil in a vessel, add mustard seeds, jeera, sauf and curry leaves. Towards the end add turmeric and salt
  4. Add the roasted oats and chana dal to the seasoning and mix well
  5. Serve hot or cool it and store in an air tight container.
