Ragi Veg Bhakri with Gingery Fish

Benefits-

Finger millet or Ragi and sesame seeds are very rich in calcium. Root like ginger is very effective in reducing bloating which is seen in PCOS.

Ingredients-

Bhakri

  1. Ragi Flour- 40g
  2. Raddish- 20g
  3. Coriander -1 TBSP
  4. Carom Seeds- 1/4 TSP
  5. White Sesame seeds- 1/2 TSP
  6. Coriander seeds powder- 1/4 TSP
  7. Turmeric Powder- 1/4 TSP
  8. Jeera Powder- 1/4 TSP
  9. Green Chilli- 1/3 (Optional)
  10. Salt -To taste

Gingery Fish

  1. Fish- 100g
  2. Tomato (Puree)- 50g
  3. Onion- 20g
  4. Fresh Ginger (Grated)- 1/2 TBSP
  5. Coriander (Chopped)- 1 TBSP
  6. Poppy seeds (Crushed) -1 TSP
  7. Ginger (Mined) -1/2 TSP
  8. Garlic (Minced) -1/2 TSP
  9. Cinnamon Stick -1 Small pc
  10. Turmeric powder 1/4 TSP
  11. Jeera powder 1/2 TSP
  12. Coriander seeds powder 1/2 TSP
  13. Kashmiri chilli powder -To Taste
  14. Salt -To taste
  15. Veg oil -1 TSP

Method of preparation

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon stick, minced ginger and garlic.
  2. Saute for a minute adding chopped onion and cooking it till golden brown.
  3. Add tomato puree and cook for about 2-3 mins. Now put salt and all masalas.
  4. Add crushed poopy seeds into it and cook for a minute.
  5. Add fish fillets into the gravy and cook till the fish is tender (2-5 mins)
  6. Serve hot with grated fresh ginger and coriander topping.

Bhakri

  1. Peel and grate Radish. Finely chop coriander and green chilli.
  2. In a deep vessel take Ragi flour, grated Radish, coriander and all the other ingredients with salt.
  3. Knead a medium soft dough using warm water and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat the hot plate over medium flame.
  5. Roll out the bhakri using a rolling pin very lightly so that it doesn’t crack at the edges.
  6. Cook the bhakri on both sides till crisp and serve hot with gingery fish.
